Cali’s MIO network is operating under major restrictions on August 12. In a thread published at 8:39 a.m., Metro Cali announced twelve temporarily closed stations, six suspended routes, suspension of the MIO Cable and several diversions.
Restrictions linked to rescue work
Metro Cali attributes delays and route changes to recommendations from authorities and to ongoing operations by firefighters and emergency services.
The notice describes a temporary situation. Stations and routes may change status as authorities make decisions and mobility conditions evolve.
Twelve stations temporarily closed
Santa Librada, Manzana del Saber, Estadio, Tequendama, Lido, Unidad Deportiva, Guadalupe, Pampalinda, Refugio, Troncal Unida, Amanecer and Nuevo Latir stations are listed as closed.
MIO Cable service is also temporarily suspended. Metro Cali gives no resumption time in the thread reviewed.
Six suspended routes and several limits
Routes A04, A70, A03, A72A, A72B and A73 are suspended. Routes E37, T57 and T47 serve only San Bosco, while A71 and A75 have been moved to Caldas.
P75 is limited to the Simón Bolívar Terminal. P47A and P47B turn around at Carrera 39 and the Autopista.
Diversions around Calle 5
Routes T31, E21, E51, P62A and P27D are diverted around Calle 5. Northbound-to-southbound travel is routed via Calle 13, the Autopista and Carrera 66.
In the opposite direction, the diversion is announced via San Pascual. These operating instructions should be checked before each journey.
A network that may continue to change
The 8:39 a.m. announcement is the latest official status reviewed for this group of restrictions. It provides neither the number of passengers affected nor the number of vehicles available.
Passengers should follow Metro Cali’s official channels for reopenings, new diversions and cable service resumption. A partial reopening must not be confused with a full return to normal.
