The Health Ministry announced at 8:02 a.m. on August 18 that Colombia had received 450 boxes of biomedical supplies and medicines. It gives the shipment’s weight as 4,300 pounds.

A coordinated receipt

The ministry credits coordination by the first lady, the Health and Defence ministries, DIAN and Invima.

Distribution not documented

The announcement does not name the donor or provide a detailed inventory, destinations, schedule or beneficiary count. The supplies are therefore described as received, not as already delivered to survivors.

Institutional channels

In a separate 7:38 a.m. message, the ministry says medicine donations must go through institutional channels and Invima.

Continuity of care

The same message mentions medicines, supplies, tents, personnel, service recovery and mental-health support without publishing an additional total.
