At 12:39:06 p.m., UNGRD published the figures presented by director David Santiago Tamayo. They describe the national situation with a 9:30 a.m. Colombia-time cutoff: that cutoff, not the publication time, determines the timeline position.
A human toll that remains provisional
UNGRD records 273 dead, 3,824 injured and 367 missing. The previous toll published by En Colombie listed 265 dead, 3,494 injured and 496 missing.
These successive totals cannot be subtracted to infer what happened to individual people. The lower missing-person count alone does not show how many were found, identified or reclassified.
Homes, schools and health facilities
The same national update lists 12,584 destroyed homes, 172 collapsed buildings, 2,187 affected educational facilities and 216 damaged health facilities. AP also reports more than 74,800 damaged homes, while EL PAÍS lists 40,753 affected families from the toll.
Identification work
Medicina Legal had received 250 bodies: 227 had been identified and 189 returned to families. These figures describe a forensic stage distinct from the national death toll.
What remains to be monitored
The figures remain provisional and their scopes must stay explicit. Future tolls should clarify human and material developments without erasing earlier stages.
