Rescue teams working in downtown Pereira established visual contact at 04:00 with a woman trapped under the debris of the Dibeni hotel, where extrication operations remain underway.
Contact established at 4:00 a.m.
Mayor Mauricio Salazar told El Tiempo that at 4:00 a.m. rescuers had made visual contact with a woman beneath the rubble of the Dibeni hotel at Carrera 8 and Calle 15. The building was approximately eight storeys high.
Extraction was still under way
At the source’s latest update, at 1:38:27 p.m., crews were still working to reach and extract the woman. Her identity had not been published and no completed rescue had been announced.

The hotel owner mentioned a list of people who remained trapped, mostly tourists. The consulted source published neither a count nor identities.
A body recovered separately
A decomposed body, believed to be male, was recovered separately and handed to Sijín for identification. Available information does not identify that person or connect the body with the woman reached by rescuers.
